Meet the KCA Committee

Bob Giles – 2023 President & Committee Member
I am a Committee Member and for 2023 I have the honour of being elected to be President.
I have restricted my responsibilities in the KCA to being a committee member as I have responsibilities elsewhere, I am the Time Trial Secretary of the VTTA (Kent Grp.) and am also the Hon. Sec. of the CTT (SE) responsible for courses and risk assessments. After returning to cycling thirty years ago I took up time trialling, riding for Rye Wheelers and then PMR@. I also ride track and take part in long distance rides.
Julian Fussell – Communications Secretary
I’m the KCA Communications Secretary and my goal is to ensure that local clubs and riders are aware of the regional events and competitions that are available to take part in. We are trying to improve our affiliate club communications and are providing more content via our new KCA website and social media channels – if you have ideas & updates for content or features please let me know.

I’m the KCA Treasurer and deal with all things money wise for the KCA. I have been in the role for 5 years now and moved the KCA off the old paper based system on to a digital accounting system. I moved over from rowing to cycling in 2010 and now race for Abellio SFA racing team (part of San Fairy Ann CC). I have competed in TT and Road Races but more recently I have focused on CX. These days I do more miles on my bike than in my car!
